OUR FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH SHAY WAS BACK IN 2014 WHEN HE PRESENTED HIS SHOW "TITANS", AN INSTALLATION OF SEVEN BIGGER THAN LIFE SCULPTURES, PERCEIVED AS A HYBRID BETWEEN ALIENS, HUMANS OR MYTHOLOGICAL CREATURES WITH AN AFRICAN TRIBAL INFLUENCE. WE IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE WITH HIS WORKS, AND AFTER MEETING HIM - FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM. WE KNEW THAT THE TIME WILL COME FOR US TO COLLABORATE.
Since then, we've created an on-going collaboration that allows this special partnership/friendship, to keep breaking boundaries and create groundbreaking art in the form of fashion.
Shay Id Alony achieved his masters degree in fine arts at the University of Haifa after studying interior design and architecture. The two field influenced his creative process: a constant research for the connection between body, object and space. His works expose the object and the user, the human quality and ambience of the environment, creating a new synthesis with a representation of power and vulnerability.
Shay id alony, is an international sculptor, installation and performance artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel. His artwork is a result of an on-going research conducted trough personal, cultural and figurative realms depicted through mediums of sculpture and installation. Shay's main interest is in the representation of ritual energy with symbols of strength challenges, a sense of belonging and even humiliation.
